Florida King Firm Foam Mattress
$3,939
108 × 80 in, 11 in thick
Made to order, ships in 1 to 3 weeks
A firm, 11 in foam mattress in the Florida King size, 108 × 80 in (274 × 203 cm): the full 9 ft width of an Alaskan King with the 80 in length of a standard King. Made in one piece, handmade to order in the USA and delivered folded in half, so it fits through a standard doorway.
Overview
9 ft wide, King length
This is the same firm foam mattress as our Alaskan King firm foam mattress, made by the same maker in the 108 × 80 in Florida King size. It covers 60 sq ft: as wide as an Alaskan King, but 28 in shorter, for a bedroom that is wide but not deep. Four adults get 27 in of width each (our calculation), and because the mattress is a single piece, nobody sleeps on a seam.
What's inside
A quilted organic cotton cover and a woven border upholstered by hand, over 2 in of comfort foam and a foam support base. The maker states that the foams are certified by CertiPUR-US®
. Base thickness and weight: not published by the maker.
Delivery: folded, not rolled
The mattress is made to order and ships in 1 to 3 weeks. Because it is one piece, it travels folded in half in a box: that is what gets a 9 ft wide mattress through a standard doorway. The maker advises taking it out of its box within 2 weeks of delivery. Curbside delivery is free in the contiguous US, and we email the tracking number when it ships.
What goes with it
A frame or platform built for 108 × 80 in, such as our Florida King platform bed frame, and sheets made for the Florida King size with a fitted-sheet pocket deeper than 11 in. King sheets are 32 in too narrow, and Alaskan King sheets are 28 in too long.
Will it fit? By our calculation it needs a room of at least 14 × 9.2 ft. Try your own walls in our bedroom size calculator.
How it compares
The Alaskan King firm foam mattress is the same mattress made 28 in longer; the Family Bed memory foam mattress keeps the same 80 in length and is 12 in wider.
