Where the numbers come from

Widths and lengths in inches are taken from the product pages of the US makers and retailers that sell each size (list and dates kept on file). Centimeters, feet, surfaces and minimum room sizes are our calculations from those inches, and every page on this site is generated from the same source file, so no figure can drift. Sizes were last checked on September 22, 2026.

Two caveats worth quoting if you republish the chart: these oversized sizes are not standardized, so the same footprint can be sold under different names (96 × 96 in is Alberta King, Vermont King or a smaller "Alaskan King"), and the Texas King is sold both as 80 × 98 in and, turned sideways, as 98 × 80 in.
