Who a Florida King mattress is for
Families who share one bed and need width more than length: two adults plus children, or a couple with a dog. It is as wide as an Alaskan King mattress but keeps the 80 in length of a King, so it fits rooms that are wide but not very deep.
For tall sleepers it is the wrong shape: at 80 in it is no longer than a King. Look at the Texas King mattress (80 × 98 in) for length.
